Prompt #1

I believe computers are a very important part of the educational experience when used correctly. When they are not being used correctly, they get in the way of learning and have more negative effects than positive. Computers help the educational experience in many ways, like having a classroom website. Having a website allows teachers to to update assignment information and report to parents. A concern about computers is that they are not as common as pencils, so it takes effort to make sure the students who need the most time on the computers, receive it. I agree with the issues raised in Chapter 1, because as stated above, my reasoning shadows it.

There are many ways I will use computers in my classroom. I will teach the students the basics of computers, such as turning it on and opening programs. Then I will teach them how to use instructional software and internet use. I will also prepare my students for the world of work.

I would like to tell all my classmates that I am very excited to teach. I think technology has helped education come a long way in the past few years. teachers and students are learning at light-year speeds because of all the benefits technology offers us.
